The students in Room 82 are working on some pretty serious Readers' Theatre performances! After watching some videos and discussing how to perform for the audience, they made the rubric that can be found below. This will be an excellent tool to help guide their practice!

You know the story about the 3 Little Pigs? Well, maybe you have also heard of the book to the left, The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs. Well, check out the video below. It has been performed by students from grade 9 to 12 in a Theatre class. As you watch, ask yourself the following questions: 1. How do they engage the audience with their voices? 2. How do they compose themselves (in other words, how are they standing/moving?) 3. What else has made their performance a success? The video below gives a quick description about how to be successful when performing a readers' theatre script! Check it out. There are lots of good ideas. Please follow this link to check out the script for Cheesie Mack, Cool in a Duel. Please note that you will have to log in with your CBE email address to view the script. Once you're in, though, feel free to practice at home as much as you'd like!
